Saturn or a Brief Treatise on Melancholy

In Lagunas del Rosario, in the arid lands of Mendoza, Rubén Díaz—artisan, Malvinas War veteran, and healer known as Caballo Loco (Crazy Horse)—each winter solstice summons a secret ceremony exclusively for initiates. Surrounded by bonfires, prayers, and ancestral stories, the community attempts to conjure away the afflictions of a territory ravaged by drought and the vanishing of its waters.
